Did you see Sweeney Todd, Chicago, Hairspray or Wizard of Oz? Aaron Williams directed all of these productions. He has won best director at the North Carolina Theatre Conference in 2005 and 2006. He studied acting at the American College in London, England and has a B.S. degree in Broadcast Journalism and English. He has performed in the role of Tim in Noises OffGrease, Paul in Moon Over Buffalo, Lt. Cable in South Pacific and Lenny in Rumors. He is a certified English teacher and currently works at Craven Early College as a drama and English instructor. He is Vice Principal Panch in RiverTowne's production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee which opens February 16.

Our young people's productions and programs have always been an integral part of RiverTowne Players. With the addition of the all-teen musical, 13,to our 2011 season, the executive board wanted to draw attention to the talented young people involved in these productions. We have so many talented young people in New Bern that we think it is important to highlight this particular group. With that in mind, we decided to showcase them with their own brand. With a drum roll and flourish we present:

Welcome to Agrabah, City of Enchantment, where every beggar has a story and every camel has a tail. All of your favorite characters are here in this stage adaptation of the Disney hit, including Aladdin, Jasmine, and of course, the Genie. Filled with magic, mayhem and flying carpet rides, audiences' spirits will soar with excitement. Most of all, the tuneful Academy Award-winning score with songs including "A Whole New World" and "Friend Like Me" will certainly make this musical a favorite for many years to come.
