About the Masonic Theatre:

The Masonic Theatre, also known as "Mason's Theatre" is a 19th century landmark built in 1805. For over 100 years, this beautiful theatre was the epicenter of civic and cultural activities.

During the Civil War, the Union Army used the theatre as a hospital at the time they occupied New Bern.

Today, the Masonic Theatre has been restored and visitors will truly enjoy the experience of taking in a show in the oldest working theatre in the United States.
